 What Is A Google Search Console?

Google Search Console (webmaster tool) is a free service provided by Google that assists you monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot your website's presence in Google's SERP. we don't have to sign up for Search Console to be included in Search Engine Results Pages (SERP), but Google Search Console supports you to understand and improve how Google sees your website.

Google Search Console helps to the following actions:

  • Confirm that Google can detect and crawl your website.
  • Fix google indexing problems and request re-indexing of new or updated web content.
  • Observe Google Search traffic data for your website: how often your web page seems in Google Search, which search queries show your website, how often searchers click through for those queries, etc.
  • Get warnings when Google encounters indexing, spam, or other problems on your web page.
  • Display you which websites link to your web page.
  • Troubleshoot issues for AMP(Accelerated mobile pages), mobile-friendliness, and other google search features.

How To Submit A Website To Google Search Console?.

1. Go to 'webmaster tool' Google Search Console.
  • Click ‘Start Now'.

   2. Click ‘+Add a property' in the drop-down.

You can add up to 1000 properties.

3. Enter your website URL in the box and ‘Continue’.

4. Click ‘HTML tag to expand the option.

5. Copy the meta tag and paste it into your website home page - <head> section, before the 1st <body> section.

  • In the case of WordPress, the following steps follow,

Logging your WordPress dashboard Click--Tool -> Marketing -> Traffic - Under Site verification services - in the Box 'Google' paste the meta tag code and verify GSC.


  • In the case of  Blogger,

Go to dashboard-> Theme -> Customise- down arrow -Edit HTML -> paste the meta tag code- <head> section, before the 1st <body> section.


6. Go back to Google Search Console and click ‘Verify’ your site.

By having a signed account, Google can send webmasters information about web page issues, errors, or even penalties.it also shows mobile usability reports to visibility and clickthrough tracking, and more.
